I'm Back.....
Oh, it's been way too long, hasn't it. I stopped updating my blog mainly because I needed to take full-time work and learn the job. It was overwhelming and very tough on me. Needless to say, I lost the job after 5 months of struggling to meet the demands. It really stung at the time, but I do believe that things happen for a reason and this just wasn't to be my future.
After that experience, I decided that I was going to work at something I loved instead. I have always had an Etsy shop, which has been moderately successful. I have put full force behind it with better results that I reall anticipated. However, it wasn't going to generate the income I needed.
In a brain-storming session with my oh-so-creative sister, we came up with an idea for a business. The result? The Wedding Sisters
We have just begun our first advertising campaign and have all our fingers and toes crossed in the hopes that this will make a go.
We are specializing in linen rental designed for that special event in your life, whether it be a wedding, anniversary, birthday, you name it. If it's special, we want to be a part of it.
I've loved designing some very special chair accessories, too. Here is the first one rolling off the assembly line. I call it the "Rosette." I'm so proud of this one. Proud enough to put a copywright on it!
And this little number we are calling the Demi Chair Cover.
We are currently working on a wedding for mid-August. Here's a sampling of the bows currently in process for that wedding along with our logo tag, which I never tire of seeing!
If you live in the Greater Phoenix Area and know someone who might just really love to use our services, send them our way!

Her First White Dress
Not only do we have an beautiful, perfect granddaughter....
She rocked an awesome
dress
on her blessing day...
made by your's truly.
Okay, maybe that's a self-serving post.
Sorry.
She just looks so darn beautiful in it.
Seriously,
I've made a lot of beautiful white dresses -
many wedding gowns
and even a burial dress for a sweet baby
who left this mortal life too early -
But this was a wonderful experience.
I look forward to making more
for other granddaughters
in the future.

Break Time
As you can see, this is my first post in quite a while.
My absence from my blog has caused me quite a bit of guilt.
I had intended for this blog to be a sharing outlet for all my projects,
which it will remain,
but life has thrown me a curve ball
and I'm working full-time again.
While I am thrilled and very thankful for this wonderful job opportunity,
the training has been grueling and time consuming,
and there just hasn't been any time at all for crafting and sewing.
So, I'm taking a little break, hopefully not too long, until I get a grasp on my new job and all it entails.
When I return to blogging,
I will bring you some tutorials that I've had sitting on the back burner for a while
get you all caught up on things around here.
'till then,

Our weekend....
I can't remember a weekend with so much going on at once!
First, the arrival of Cooper Joseph in the wee hours of Friday.
Then, that same evening...
Matt and Britnie
tied the knot.
followed by quite a p-a-r-t-y!
Our family had a blast
and my husband showed off a few dance moves
that haven't been seen on a dance floor since the 70s. (grin)
Then,
the next day
around 11:00 am,
my oldest
graduated from his master's program
in occupational therapy.
So proud of him!!
Wow!
I'm ready for some quiet time this weekend.
